Hi. My name is Beth and I am married to Winfield Greene. We have been married for 22 years and
have three children, Caroline, Catherine, and Chris. Winfield works for Scientific Research Corporation.
Caroline is a Citation achiever and goes to Georgia Southern University where she is studying to be a
Child Life Specialist. Catherine and Chris attend Warner Robins High School. We are very involved at
Green Acres Baptist Church in Warner Robins, GA. Winfield is a deacon, teaches adult Sunday school,
teaches Journey (high school Awana) and is on various committees. I am involved in AWANA and
Children’s Committee. Catherine cheers and Chris swims and plays golf. They both have been involved
in Awana since they were Cubbies. I am also on the School council and Parent Action Council at Warner
Robins High School. Winfield is originally from Kentucky. He was saved when he was a child. I am from
Warner Robins and was saved in Vacation Bible School when I was 9. Caroline, Catherine and Chris have
accepted Christ as their Savior.
My Awana journey began in 1997 when I became an Awana worker. Shortly thereafter, one of my
clubbers challenged me to get the Citation award with her. I took the challenge never imagining what
God had in store for my life. In all honesty, I just agreed to it hoping that it would encourage the
clubbers to memorize God’s word. But from 1997-2004, as we worked together toward achieving the
Citation award, I learned who God really is. My faith and relationship with Christ grew. My knowledge
and understanding of the Scriptures grew immensely and I saw children being saved. I wish I could have
had the opportunity to be in Awana when I was a child and know then what I know now as an adult.
I developed a passion to reach teenagers and to disciple them. I became very involved in the Awana
ministry, through the Ministry team, Awana Ministry Partners, Awana Ministry conferences, Scholarship
camp and my local church. I wanted everyone-children, teens and adults to have the opportunity to
hear the Gospel, to grow in their relationship with Christ, to develop a greater understanding of the
Scriptures and to serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
My life verse is 1 Corinthians 15:58:
Stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you
know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
But I was not living out this verse. I have given a lot of time to God but not given myself FULLY to God.
In 2009 when I went to Angola Prison and attended Awana’s Returning Hearts Celebration, my life was
forever changed. I saw what it was like to STAND FIRM in the face of adversity. I saw what it meant to
give yourself FULLY to the work of the Lord!!
So today, I STAND FIRMLY, knowing that God has called me in 2011 to give myself FULLY to the work of
the Lord as an AWANA missionary. I ask for your prayers and financial support as I begin my Journey to
become a full time Awana missionary to Middle Georgia.
